Raja Singham is a well-known entrepreneur in the field of education, and a founding member of a myriad of companies specialising in corporate training, advertising, publications, event management and IT development. He has been in the private education sector since 1991, and is the driving force of many start-up ventures, particularly those that contribute to social good.
Raja has authored numerous texts and study manuals, most notably on the Law of Evidence. In 2015, he received the National Outstanding Educator Award from the Private Education Co-operative of Malaysia. Under his effective stewardship, BAC received the SME Recognition Award for Service Excellence in 2013, in recognition of its reputation for inspiring excellence as a provider of outstanding services in Law and Business, among many other distinguished awards.
Raja inspires a spirit of philanthropy in BAC through his charitable efforts. The Make It Right Movement (MIRM), a CSR initiative by BAC, aims to create a sustained positive impact on society by championing community causes both locally and globally. MIRM provides a platform for businesses and organisations to meet their social objectives through active partnerships and strong affiliations, built around efficiently managed community engagement. MIRM collaborates with over 80 social good entities, and is involved in more than 200 charity programmes and CSR-related projects and events annually. Raja Singham is also a Council Member on the governing board of the Society for the Severely Mentally Handicapped (SSMH), and a patron of Tech Outreach Malaysia, a social enterprise that assists disadvantaged communities requiring socio-economic and regional development.
